The G38 RULES!

I can't crow enough about my G38. I have shot a lot of guns and a lot of Glocks in my life and a lot of them are really good guns. Some are classics.

Today, a couple buddies and I took my G38 along with 2 other Glocks (G19, G30 SF), a S&W revolver (M642-2), and a little Sig 232 to the range. Neither one of my buddies had ever shot my G38. One had never heard of the .45 GAP. Ammo for the GAP was plain Jane WWB 230 gr. JHP.

At the end of the shoot, they were both amazed at the accuracy and how easy it was to control the G38, even while shooting at speed. They both liked it better than another one of my favorites, the G30SF.

If you're in the market to try a different caliber, you should give the G38 a try! Hard hitting .45 firepower in a small, concealable, controllable package.

The G38 is a real winner with me!

I've got the G37 and like it as much as you do your 38. Very accurate pistol, love the cartridge. Cant wait till some spare change and a G38 come together for me...

I have all three GAP's and love them all, but the 38 is my favorite for sure.

My G38 is my EDC. I added a OEM "-" connector and NY1 spring and I love it. My poor G17 gets so neglected now.

+1! It is amazing how great the 38 shoots and how quickly it recovers. Great guns

Shot all three GAPs Sunday, and I must say the 37 is growing on me. Thinking about bobbing the grip to 38 size and ccw-ing it.

+1. G38 is my favorite. Great recovery. Those who don't like GAP, simply haven't tried it.

I have been shooting handguns for 22 years and the Glock 38/45GAP is the best of all worlds. Quick recovery between shots, hits the target hard and puts a .45 caliber hole in the target.

Before you do, practice drawing it from your normal concealment holster with your normal concealment garments.

I CC my G17 sometimes. It's not much harder to conceal, but it's a pain to clear my shirt and draw. The extra barrel length makes a difference there.

Thanks. I actually have, and it is just a tiny bit slower, but no more so than the 1911's I also carry. And I do find the 37 just a wee bit faster back on target. That and my new Gen4 31 has rekindled my full-sized-Glock passions.

Yeah, I also have to say I love my .45GAPs I carry my G39 off duty all the time. I shoot the G39 very well. I shoot real well with my G38- I shoot the G38 a tad better than my G30SF.

I just ordered a Gen4 G37 from Glock and hope to have it by the end of the month. Selling the Gen3 G37 tomorrow to make room for it.

I got a G36 in early December, like it a lot and have been carrying it daily for several weeks.

I got a G38 from Ed's Public Safety 2 days ago. I am anxious to get to the indoor range with it. If it lives up to my expectations (don't know why it wouldn't) it may replace the G36 for EDC, then make the 36 the EDTG (everyday truck gun)

I picked one up last September from Ed's Public Safety. I installed a set of Ameriglo target Master fiber optic sights and a Vanek GSSF trigger and love the way it shoots. My wife and I both have Gen 3 G-37's since they first came out and shot them in GSSF matches for a couple of years with good results. Side by side the Gen 4 has less felt recoil than the Gen 3 and I can reaquire the front sight quicker. I plan on shooting it in GSSF matches this year,now that I have a good supply of once fired brass.We both carry either a G-38 or G-39 depending on the time of year and what we are wearing.I know how fond you are of your G-38 (overall it's my favorite Glock out of 17)but for matches I think you are really going to like your new Gen 4.

The G19 is a great pistol, no wonder why the G38 shines, a soft shooting big bore on that popular mid-size frame.

I am hunting for a G38..got a 37 but love the size of my 23....wonder if I should wait on gen 4? How is that new recoil, anybody ?
