I typically load 165gr or 180gr Xtreme plated bullets using Unique. I would also like to develop a load for the 200gr Hornady XTP. I am not having any problems with Unique, but both of these powders would give me more velocity as well as burn cleaner. Which powder would you recommend? Any load data?

Shooting .22, 9, 38, .40, 357SIG, 10MM, .45, .44mag, and 5.56. Loading for 9, .40, 10mm, and .45 on a Dillon 650.
I was also using Unique Powder 7.5 gr.with the 200 gr xtp bullet. I loaded up some 200 gr. xtp with Power Pistol a couple of week ago using 7.6 grs. I didn't feel much difference in felt recoil. The average vel. for the 200 gr. xtp with 7.6 gr. of Power Pistol was 1048 fps. These were shot out of a Glock model 20 sf, with a stock barrel.
fyi I also loaded up some 180 gr. Remington hp with 8.0 gr P.P. and got 1121 fps average. My last load was 8.5 gr. of P.P. and they shot 1179 fps on average. These were also shot with the same pistol as above.
The outside temp. was 33 degrees and about 2500' elevation. Mixed brass, fed. lg.pistol primers.

I doubt Titegroup will give you better performance than Unique in 10mm, and Unique is generally used for really light loads as it is. I wouldn't waste the time or money putting Titegroup under a 200gr XTP. If Power Pistol is your only other choice, it will give you good velocities. Other great choices are Longshot, Blue Dot, AA9 and my current favorite 800X.
