Texas resident, VA CHL...info

Short story, I was stationed in Virginia while in the NAVY and got my permit. I am now back in Texas. Is my VA permit ok to use now that I am a resident, or do I need to get my Tx permit as well? I couldn't find any actual "black and white" stating any thing other than reciprocity.

Your Virginia license is good for carry in Texas so long as it is valid. There is a bill that was introduced that could change that, but if passed it would not go into effect until Sept ot this year.

Brandan, I know what states TX acknowledges...the question was seeing as I am a TX resident who was stationed in VA, and got a VA CHL and I am not permanently back in TX is this legal or would I need to get a TX CHL to be legal?
