I voted auto because I always grew up with auto's because my dad always had them. He did have one .357 magnum that I shot one time and I was about 14 years old and that had some major kick. It was was the first time I ever shot a handgun. I would like to know more about revolvers because I do think some of them are really sweet guns. good poll BTW.

For years I carried a glock 40 of some sort but now my G23 has a lone wolf 357sig barrel using speer 125gd's. So far I am very happy with this round.

According to the reports that I have been reading the latest in .357Sig rounds have superior penetration, expansion, energy transfer, accuracy and just about everything else that you might want in a cartridge and I have been giving it a second look. They apparently also feed better, although I have never had an issue in that regard, due to the throttled neck.

G23 with Crimson Trace laser. For me, G23 is perfect blend of capacity and concealabiltiy. However, when love handles began to expand over last few years, needed something slimmer. Kahr CW9 with Don Hume IWB has fit bill nicely.

Woops...almost forgot my baby. Little black CRKT Koji Hara ICHI assisted open knife. Good for snake killin', box openin' and last ditch bad guy deterant. (This is best inexpensive pocket knife I've found. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED).
Does this qualify for CCW/backup?

As to the poll, i don't carry yet, but i voted revolver because that is what i will carry as soon as i get my ccw.

i don't know about older folk, i'm 70 and i look at this forum all the time. I carry a k3at all of the time. It's just too small not to carry. Aside from that it's usually an old 1903 colt .32 that i love. It's a wonderful gun and conceals very well. Hail to the old folk.

I carry mostly my Walther PPS or G26 both because of size , my PPS is the most comfortable carry.
