Snuffy, that's a fine looking DW CBOB! The grips are beautiful. Did you specify those when you ordered the gun or are they after market?

Thanks Cobra64.
The grips are Silver-Black Dymondwood from Ahrends. Sent him a check on a Thursday and received the grips the following Thursday.

Addition to this awesome picture thread!
Rock Island Armory Tactical 1911 w/ 5 extra mags! Not as great as most of the 1911's posted so far; but not bad for my first 1911. The Springfield TRP is probably next on my list!!

My pawn shop rescued Springer. Late 1980's model. Was missing front sight, grips, grip safety, and had a boogered-up grip bushing.
Back up and running now:
Still have plans for this one. But at least it is alive and kicking again.

Got it this weekend, and only have 150 rounds through it!

I bought my first 1911 last week, a Springfield Champion. It's used but new to me. I will probably be refinishing it soon, any suggestions?

Send it to Birdsong for the Black T, its one of the best black finishes available.
I've got it on my RRA.
Roguard and Black T are my two favorite black finishes.
...or send it to Robar for the Roguard black finish. The slide of my TGO1 is finished with it.
