That IS a major compliment, thanks.
Work was accomplished at Mr. Richard Heinie's shop.
30 lines-per-inch, frontstrap, trigger guard and mainsprinbg housing are
all perfect, not a flaw to be found.
I have wanted a Heinie Colt Commander for some time.
I grew up within 35 miles of his shop, a small town Guy, truly an amazing individual!

Looks great, a true 1911.
I've got the same thing customized by Ted Yost at Heirloom Precision. He does some awesome stuff.
The whole package is amazing, including the finish.

You can see in the link what the Yost retro package includes. I believe its the fourth gun as you scroll down. The model pictured is a 1911A1, but he does both, as you can tell.

I got a decent deal on mine, but you can see that custom work from the top smiths is expensive. Those prices don't even count the base gun.
