Are those original from '91?

Probably not. I have seen pics of this particular pistol (by previous owner) with two other sets of grips; these are the most appealing IMO of those I've seen on it though. I haven't a clue what the wood species is, but they are stunning in person, taking on whatever predominate color is surrounding it.
