My rig has the CTR with the extended recoil pad and balances perfectly....

And I have a rifle length rail......

I can take it over one day if you want to compare weight or whatever.

I finished my Colt M4 buildup today. Let the Colt breathe a bit today. Was limited on time
so an indoor 25m range was it. I had really expected some problems with the front sight alignment,
as the YHM is a clamp on gas block/folding sight combo. Pleased to say this sight is dead on. I used
a Daniel Defense Omega-X 12 FSP rail with the YHM gas block/folding sight.

Mounted the EOTech XPS2-2, after I confirmed gas block alignment and front sight alignment.
I have the EOTech's center dot sighted in for a point of aim impact at 50m

Something I noticed about the XPS2-2 today:

-Use the outer ring, place the 6 o'clock position on target, it is POA at 7m
-The center dot is sighted in point of aim, at 50m.
-The center dot is about 2.75" low at 25m.
-The lower dot, the 500m dot, is dead on, POA, at 25m......make sense?

The Colt shot flawlessly!
Was a quick range trip but I was drilling the center of a 1" orange sticker at 25m

Heres my newly finished 18" with it older but shorter 14" per f/h brother. The carbine was my first AR. Its a piston gun. The 18" is my first build. Its a midlength 1:7 twist.
