New to me USP 9mm...think I did OK.

Had a HK P30 as my first gun and while I liked it I didn't like the fit after a while. I just came home from the shop with a used USP in 9mm. Bore looked good and it doesn't look like it has been carried much if at all. Gun had nightsites which I knew but I didn't realize what else it had.

It has the HK Jet Funnel Magwell with 4 18rd HK Jet Funnel mags. That alone would cost $335 to buy at MidwayUSA, but the mags are backordered.

I got the gun for $800 +tax and a free box of range ammo. Yeah, it is on the higher end for one used, but with the stuff on it I figured I did well. Plus I don't see them around often. Here is my new baby!

Don't mind anywhere near the serial number. I cloned it in PS.

Here is the wear on the barrel, which doesn't seem too bad and a shot of the bore.

You bought a USP with a Jet Funnel and didn't realize it? You didn't like the fit of what part of a P30 (your first gun?)?

Well I knew it looked different over stock, but wasn't sure what it was. P30 was nice but something put me off about it. The shape of the grip I liked, but then it didn't feel as nice.

I prefer the grip on the USP much more.

Yeah the P30 was my first gun. It functioned flawlessly and I've always liked the USP's. I really wanted a Mark 23, but figured it wasn't worth it for the price.

You got a great deal.

I would be interested to know what the factory sticker on the case says. Is it marked as a Combat Comp. or marked "COMPL." ?

Yes it is marked LEM COMPL. I take it that means something?

EDIT: Just read the side sticker which says. "USP9 LEM, W/ JET FUNNEL, 18RD MAGS, NS"

It pays to read. LOL.

Interestingly enough, Arredondo +5 basepads for GLOCK will fit and function on USP mags. (Don't know how they work with the jet funnel though, but they should be fine) Soiunds like ya got a carry/competition? $800 would be strong for it, used, but it's still a decent deal.

Yeah, the problem is I don't see them around here much, especially used.

Getting one online new, then transfering, then buying two spare mags would still be more than I got it for.

I was hoping to shoot it today, but the snow stopped and I had to go into work. It will have to wait till tomorrow.

COMPL.= Compliant. The gun was shipped with 10 rounds magazines from Germany and when HK USA received them they installed the JF kit and swapped out the magazines. The gun should be equipped with standard LEM (about 7.5-8lb. pull weight).

Nice gun. I'm hoping to add a USP 45c to my collection soon.
