Thinking of getting a M&P15T
Anyone got one? Thoughts?

Bought one last year for Christmas to myslef from GT Dist. for $1089 shipped during S&W's Magpul Mag deal. Got the rifle with 8 mags. Love it works great, added a VG and TLR-1s as well as an Eotech.

I am torn betwen the 15T and the Colt 6940.... There are a few minor differences between them (barrel twist, freefloat...), but the length of the monolithic rails is what I'm considering. The 15T looks like it has a longer rail than the 6940. This would be my first AR so I want to be sure I get something I wont regret later.
For the money, the 15T seems to be a great rifle. $1089 is a smokin' deal.

There are some other differences (I do believe that both have FF barrels), but there's quite a price difference. I doubt the average shooter would see any performance difference.

I love my MP-15. Mine has been accurate and reliable. Buy it.

If I could find a NIB 15T for $1089, I'd buy it, even if it didn't come with any mags.

I like the 15Ts but i've never shot one. I was looking at them hard back when i got the black rifle fever the other year. I ended up paying a little more and getting a Daniel Defense, but lots of folks have a lot of great things to say about the S&Ws.
