Help Montana hunters keep sabots

The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks department is proposing to ban the use of sabots in shotguns and muzzle loaders in certain hunting areas.

But I'm not in Montana! Well it doesn't matter, they are accepting public input and do not ask where you live.

Hunting home page - > http://fwp.mt.gov/hunting/default.html

explains the proposed change - > http://fwpiis.mt.gov/content/getItem.aspx?id=48473

Make comments - > http://fwp.mt.gov/hunting/publicComments/sabots.html

Feel free to c/p this to other pro-hunting forums, blogs, etc. Time for comments ends on Friday 2/5

So damm

I guess they want you to be extremely restricted. So why not limited you to a Patch Round Ball.

Anything that makes the hunt more successful and the animal harvest more humane and quicker, imho should be encourage. I love these representatives that feel any modern advantages should be ban. I guess they should not stop at sabot, but go after bait, scent-masking-scents, camo, treestands, whistles, & calls.

So has there been a problem with sabot bullets traveling too far?

And handgun bullets haven't been a problem?

.460 S+W trajectory isn't that much different then a sabot slug.
