1st Colt
I always wanted a nice Colt 1911 but could never justify the prices. Last year I bought my 1st 1911 to test the waters. A Para GI Expert. I like shooting it and haven't had any problems with it thus far. My problem is, I have always wanted a Colt 1911. Well I finally made the jump into the deep end and put a Gold Cup Trophy in SS on layaway. Now what? lol. I have did a little research but was looking for advice before I start pounding it. Backyard paper shooting is what it will see the most. I have my glocks and HK's for HD and CC. I have an ample supply of American Eagle 230 grain fmj that I will be putting through it. I have had a few say that I should swap out the spring to a 16 or 18 lb. spring. Some say it comes with an extra spring but I'm not sure if its just another same weight spring. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanx, Berg

Nice! The springs that came with it should be different.

You did good but be warned, the Colt thing is highly addictive.

Whatever do you mean? Are you saying that having 14 Colt 1911s is an addiction?
