Glock Pig
Hi, thanks for looking. I had some hunting success last week. I shot this sow on a rice berm with my Glock 19. Ammo was Federal 124gr Hydrashok. I hit her with the first shot center of mass which was a pass-thru, with some serious damage to the top of the heart. 2nd shot entered the right ham and I recovered it in the left hip.
She moved about 5 yards and went down.

Good shooting, good pig. 9mm wouldn't be my first choice going after hogs but whatever floats your boat. Glad to see it did just fine though. I love to fish some local canals and every spot I'm at there are ferel hog tracks and I've seen quite a few out there.

I was under the impression that, while hunting, you had to have a plug in your magazine so you could not carry more than 6 rounds...is that not right?
If so, where did you get your plug for your glock 19 mag?

In SC the handgun restrictions for hog on private land pertain to night hunting, in which the barrel must be less than nine inches. I've never seen any mention of mag capacity in SC.

oh gotcha, I had a moment there and assumed you were in Florida. I was mostly just curious and hoping you would tell me I was wrong
Id like to use a Glock 20 as a side arm while hunting, but not having the option to use it if I like because it has a full magazine without a plug is kind of a turnoff.

A cut down #2 pencil will fit perfectly between the spring in a glock magazine. You will have to play with the length to get the round capacity that you need. I did this with a G31 magazine a few years back and it functioned fine and made my magazine "hunting legal" in Nebraska.

You claimed your hog. Good job.
I'm still waiting to go hog hunting in my state.

Not sure of what your implying for FLA, but we don't have a magazine capacity for handguns. 5 10 15 30 rounds are all okay in FLA.
