which gun? the one in the OP? it's not dirty, the barrel is coated in Black-T. When they coat it with Black-T they tape off the last ~1/4" so that there is no dimensional changes because it's fit very tightly.

that's the one i was referring to. Black-T will scratch if you look at it hard enough.
