Worked up a .380 load today

I got my cast bullets from Darda's in the mail today - 1000 98gr LRN. I loaded them up to .980" OAL (they would barely fit it the mag!) with 10 rounds having 2.4gr W231 in them, 10 rounds with 2.6gr, and 10 rounds with 3.0gr. I got my data from Lyman's 49th, but I had to interpolate because the manual only had 120gr LRN and 90gr LRN. I am hoping to get a chance to go shoot them soon to see how they work!

Missouri Bullets "Secret Agent" (95gr LRN) over 2.8gr W231 at .98 COL. A very sweet load thru a P238.

You are using a slightly heavier bullet with a bit more charge. Even minor powder variances in small cases equate to large differentials. While they may be safe, I'd back the 3.0s down a bit for a more pleasant shooting experience.

By the way, you guys were right about not saving money reloading... I keep wanting/needing new equipment and supplies!
