AR15 Style Rifle that is Full Auto or atleast 3 round burst

I have this itch to have an AR style rifle that is full auto or at a min 3 round burst for fun at the range.

Is this even possible? I know a Tax Stamp is involved.

Is there an AR made that is either full auto/3 round burst or can be converted to one? Are there any 9mm or .22 caliber ones to keep ammo pricing down?

What kind of costs and pain am I looking at here.

You need to find a transferrable M16, which was put on the NFA registry prior to 1986. Expect to pay around $15,000.
