US Palm AK-30 mags....worth it?

Anyone have any? This company seems to talk a good game. Are these as good as the Bulgarian Circle 10s? They are about the same price. Or are they the second coming of Promag? Overall, it seems most people like US Palm stuff, but wasn't sure about their mags. Thanks!

I did not know US Palm was making mags, cool deal!
I have one CrapCo mag that actually works, would love to get some reliable US mags!

I bought one for evaluation, and it's very well made and counts as a US part. I only wish they made one in 20 round form!

I have a couple (2) CrapCo mags myself... They have yet to let me down and have seen PLENTY of range time, though nothing beats a good metal mag!

I too would like to see a good, reliable U.S. mag made available.

There's plenty of reviews on them scattered around the interwebs. The general consensus is that they're good, but not $30 good.

I'll personally stick to $10 steel Commie mags that I know work. I'll pick up some of the Palm mags when the prices drops.

YMMV

How many parts does the US Palm mag account for, when considering 922?
Two?

They are not worth $30 price tag. There are plenty of reviews elsewhere. IMO The main problem with them is the feed lips are not metal reinforced at all. secondary problem is they can never be disassembled. 3rd problem - only metal in the entire mag is a very thing strip that runs around the 2 locking lugs. For those of you about to say well Pmags don't have this or that and they are great, AR mags and AK mags operate in a very different way.

For $30 bulgarian circle 10's are a far superior mag. USPalm fit between tapco and circle 10's for plastic mags. For the quality they should be priced about $15-20 a piece.

I thought it was body, follower & baseplate on the TapCo for the three parts count.

What is the parts count on the US Palm?

If the US Palm's baseplate can not be removed,......does it still count?

Or when the price of commie mags goes up or the supply thereof ceases to exist, whichever comes first.

Thanks for the info...I've got a pair of Circle 10s (b/c they are pricey....otherwise I'd have more) and a half dozen quality ComBloc ones, which I think I'll stick with (or add more of).

Rememberthe parts count is not about adding US parts but removing foreign parts. If your gun came with foreign mags adding any US mag lowers the foreign parts count by three. If it did not come with a mag or came with a US mag is would not change the part count no matter if the base plate is removable.

Darn good point,.......in my case I'm thinking Norinco Mak90.
So, mags are included in the parts count for compliance.

Most agree with the above, including me. More discussion:
US Palm mags........what's the skinny on these?

Any AK mag's 922r parts count is: Body, follower, floorplate. The spring doesn't matter.

As the person who cut one in half for the entire world to see how they are REALLY built I can say one thing. There are NO good US made polymer mags that I would bet my life on.

If you need 922 parts you can get Circle 10 Waffles with US made parts from KVAR or change things like the piston or the fire control group for 3 parts alone. You can also add US made pistol grips like the really comfortable one from Hogue or even change the butt stock for one and the handguards for one more part. If you insist on US wood you can get it also from Ironwood Stocks.

There are options out there that work so you do NOT have to depend on mags from Promag, Crapco, or Palm that have only shown me so far their ONE worth is as TARGETS!
