Looking for an answer/affirmation. Was looking at my gp100 tonight and noticed something for the first time. When I push the cylinder release button to open the cylinder, the button stays down. I am able to push the button forward towards the barrel and it has spring action, but the side closest to the hammer stays down. When the cylinder is closed, the button pops back up and all is well.

So in short, is the cylinder release button supposed to stay down when the cylinder is open and then pop back up when the cylinder is closed?

I have just never payed attention to this before and tonight the cylinder would not close until I fidgeted around a little bit. Thanks, and I hope this makes sense.
