Absolutely. Modern Ar-15's have a case deflector which will protect you from spent brass casings ejecting into your face. I'm left handed and have never had a problem with a AR-15 or M4. Some lefties install a left handed safety selector, but that's about it. There are manufacturers of left handed AR-15's if you prefer a more personalized rifle.

My buddy has the same shooting issue. I feel sorry for him. Its so weird watching him line up his handgun shots? I haven't seen him shoot a rifle yet but its probably just as weird?

Are you right handed? If so, try to stick with that.
I'm led as well. With irons, I have to close my left eye, but with an EoTech, there is no problem.

Depends on how you hold it & what ammo your shooting. Also if you have a anything on like a tac vest or mag carrier.
I have had casings hitting my face shooting left handed on transition drills. I normally shoot right handed though. I am left eye dominate. I'm fine using a Eotech. Irons are not too bad. I had to train my eyes. You can do it. Don't care if others say you can't. I did. I'm not perfect be any means, but I can get by fine.

I'm left eye dominate. Shoot pistol righty and rifle lefty. No problem with brass hitting me on the AR. I did put an ambi safety, mag release on one lower, and an ambi charging handle on my 16" upper. The target 20" upper still sports the standard handle, but it's an easy switch form one upper to another if I want.

I am right handed and left eye dominant. I guess that's why I shoot riffle left handed, have my whole life. Its strange to do everythingright handed and reserve this one activity for my left side, but it just feels right. My ar15 is a standard right handed set up. I have never used it right handed. I have never had a problem.

I have both righties and lefties AR's and am left handed with no problems with either side. I am a firm believer that if you are left handed and want to buy a left handed AR, buy it if not the righty will do just fine also.

Handgun is easy. Most (all?) rifles though it is impossible to hold righty and be able to tilt your head enough to use your left eye.

I'm left eye dominant and shoot my AR left handed. I did have an issue with hot brass hitting me in the face or going down the back of my shirt and causing second degree burns. I bought a brass deflector and mounted it on the flat top and have not had an issue since. I recently changed out buffer springs and took the brass deflector off but haven't shot it enough to see if that was the culprit.
For the most part you shouldn't have an issue at all.

That's why you learn/train to use your right eye.

Another RH that is left eye dominant. I shoot hand guns RH and all long guns LH. I choose to shoot long guns LH because I can have both eyes open with either irons or dots.
I have never had a piece of brass hit me in the face or come close to my face when in a traditional shooting position. If you stand very canted, you may have a problem. However, you should be pretty squared up.
I have no problem using RH AR's left handed. I do prefer them to have ambi-safeties, Ambi-charging handles, ambi-mag release, and a BAD type lever (which is used differently than how it was designed). None of that stuff is necessary but does make operation a little easier and faster.
Practice without all the gadgets and with them. Practice LH and RH. you will be a better shooter for it.

How about eating, shooting pool, or shooting a bow? I seem to do power things righty and detail things lefty, because of left eye dominance.
Golfing righty with a left eye dominance seems to be a bit of an advantage. On the turn it's easy to "keep your eye on the ball".

If you use a red dot sight and keep both eyes open, then you can probably shoot right handed/right eyed. You may have to up the power of the dot a little. Try it, it should work.
That's the way my wife does it.
I'm lucky. Although I'm right handed, right eyed, I can shoot rifles either way.

I'm left eye dominant, but I predominantly shoot pistols and rifles RH. I write LH, and can do most things either way (including shoot). I learned to shoot RH, so I just stuck with it for my primary means.
I don't have any issues shooting cross eye dominant. I just line up the pistol sights on my left eye, and use a red dot on my AR. I can't shoot through iron sights on a rifle with both eyes open when RH, because my right eye won't focus on the sights. So it's either use a red dot or close my left eye. Oh well, I make it work...

I am LED also but right handed, I can shoot the AR left or right handed no problems with my Eotech or Aimpoint. But handguns are trickier.

Shooting a handgun RH while being LED shouldn't be tricky at all. Just look down the sights with your left eye instead of your right eye. You shouldn't have to move your head or adjust anything, other position the handgun a few centimeters to the left while shooting. It works for me with no problems.
YMMV

MMDV (My mileage does vary) - That is not the case for me at all. I cannot adjust the gun and keep a good grip and stance doing what you describe. I think most people who shoot RH but are LED cant their head to use their left eye. For me it is much easier to cant my head than sacrifice a good grip and stance (grip and stance are what allow me to control recoil and shoot fast).

Works for me too. I position the gun slightly left of what I would if aiming with right eye. However, I also turn my head just a slight bit to the right, which may be more habit than necessity.
