If you have a RIA compact 1911 45ACP, will you help?

Do you still feel like you have a great value in a dependable and well made 1911 style pistol? I am looking at this or a Springfield Armory Micro Compact. Please let me know your thoughts and thank you for your time. <!-- / message --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig --><!-- END TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig --><!-- sig -->

the RIA Compact (same as the Citadel Compact) is a good gun for little money.
I had a Micro Operator a few years ago and no problems with it and have an EMP that for some reason can't part with.

My wife has a RIA Compact Tactical and loves it. Only about 500 rounds thru it. No problems feeding Ranger T or HST

I like mine alot. It now wears a set of CT grips, as I haven't gotten around to changing out the horrible little sights that came on it. Great little gun though. Mine eats anything and is exceptionally accurate.

I don't have any experience with the Springer but my little Rock has been nothing but reliable since day one. It will shoot anything that I feed it. Lately I have been thinking of selling it but I can't bring myself to do it because it's been so reliable.

Mine has been flawless. My uncles compact springfield went back to the factory, was replaced, then was sold. He now has a RIA compact too.

Mine has been flawless with any mags or ammo in about 2,400 rounds now. It used to be my primary winter gun but now serves as a back-up to my Kimber UC II.

While I am not Quack I can tell you they are basically the same gun. Both are made by the same company.

HIIIIIIIII Barbiiiii...i guess we didn't scare you away

from the samples that i've looked at, the Citadel is fit/assembled just a little bit better (smoother).

STI will have smaller sized guns coming as well, so it may be worth the wait to check out the smaller Spartans.

So true, an STI Spartan Compact would be sweet.

Yes they are. For the money it's kind of hard to believe but these are very good pieces. Just don't expect the fit and finish or all of the other bells and whistles you get with the higher priced offerings. However I think you will find these to be a very reliable and fairly accurate gun.

I like the Phillipine-made 1911s so much that I own 16 of them. Five of them are RIA and two of them are compacts.
