Jacked Soft Point Ammo
All of those are essentially range loads and not something you want for self defense. Some will argue the wadcutter, but unless it's hardcast or copper washed and loaded hotter, I wouldn't rely on something going that low velocity.
Exposed lead bullets will dirty your gun more quickly than (copper) jacketed lead, same with your support hand.
The benefit will be typically easier cleaning of the bore as lead fouling tends to come out quicker than copper fouling...also, leads wears the bore less than copper- although essentially a non-issue these days.
As you know, round nosed bullets will rip a hole in paper targets. A hp or jhp will punch a neater hole. Going to wadcutter or semi-WC gives you more of the same; a full caliber sized neat hole, useful for scoring targets.
Magtech makes accurate range ammo. Their defensive stuff is not worth it IMO.
