I love my 870. No fancy optic, no high speed stock, no gadgets, gizmos or BS hanging off it. Just a reliable lead throwing machine.

Mine goes in my Jeep when we camp or go wheeling. I can load it with buck, slugs or birdshot and it always works. Nothing wrong with that!!

Plus I was totally nekkid and holding a gun.

I have a Winchester 1300 with an extended tube, 18.5 barrel that is weekend throw around gun. It is already scratched up so it doesn't hurt when it gets another one.

This RIO stuff actually patterned out to 35 on a Q from my 870 20" low cost and I've run about 250rnds of it without any issues.

Sounds like a great idea: Let's have officers use rifles with iron sights in the dark!!!!

Yeah, that's pretty backwards. Even back in 1991, my issued AR had a light mounted on it. It was called a Sage Light, and was a rechargable flashlight about the size of a three cell Mag Lite that slid into a metal tube that attached to the bayonet lug. It even had a on/off switch you could velcro where ever you wanted it.

It looked like a M203 Grenade launcher it was so big (and lot of crooks, for some reason, thought that was what it was ) (and added about three pounds to the gun). But, it was a bright mother!

And, we had Aimpoints back then, too, but you had to sweet talk the FTU guys into letting you have one because they cost so much back then, they liked having them on the shelves better.

I wish I had a picture of my old AR with the Sage Light on it, but I lost them all in Katrina. A bit of history gone.
