TRP on armslist

Did anyone see the TRP that was listed on armslist a few days ago for $750? I emailed the seller the same day it was posted (Wednesday) and fully expected to hear that it was SPF. I checked back and the ad was gone yesterday. The seller emailed me today and said it's still available. I'm kind of skeptical based on the price (if something seems too good to be true kind of thing), I've bought online and on forums, but never armslist. I asked for two specific photos that weren't shown on armslist (to see if he was in possession of the gun or if the photos were "borrowed" from some online auction/sales sight and it was a scam). I got a lot of pictures emailed to me, but the pictures only covered one of my requests.

Anyone recognize these pictures? Maybe from another site? I checked completed auctions on gunbroker, but didn't see any of these photos.

Thanks for any help. Oh and if the seller is a member here, I really believe you and am just previewing my next 1911 to the other board members

This is totally a scam. I emailed the seller as well and got a response today. He says hes in Appalachian, NY. His name in the message was Will C. A short time ago there was a python listed in the Illinois section for a great price. It was the same joker who emailed me. scam!

Will C. That's the guy. I didn't even send money and I feel cheated. I think someone should make this up to me. Who wants to sell a TRP for $750?

Not 30 minutes after I emailed him the listing was gone. I'm not sure is hes fishing for suckers, but this is the 3rd or 4th pistol I've emailed on and he was the person to respond.

Sounds kinda like a scammer I ran into a while back. He had a stainless TRP for $725. Wanted a postal MO. Said he was in the military and he wouldn't risk his career to try and rip anyone off. Did he have the same song in his ad?

There was no mention of being in the military in the ad or the emails. When someone from another state posts in the illinois section the flags are already up.

You are so right. I seem to remember about two years ago, someone from Illinois (Chicago I think), was trying to sell us something about "hope and change". I think he got a BUNCH of suckers on that one !

WATCH OUT FOR ANYTHING FROM ILLINOIS, ESPECIALLY IF THEIR INITIALS ARE B.O.

It seems as though there are quite a few scams coming from NY. I have encountered a couple so far and all of them were from NY. I go on armslist alot, but ONLY will deal with people that have accounts on forums with solid feedback.
But really how stupid can people be.... trying to scam someone out of a firearm???!!! Truely pathetic.....

If you google his e-mail address sometimes you can get some info on whether he's a scam or not.

Armslist seems to have alot of highly sought after guns for amazing deals.... too good to be true and it usually is.

Bingo! My local CL has fake ads with emails in the msg body. Google shows the same ad posted in at least 15 cities around the world.
