Primers

I was wondering if there is a problem with me using mangum pistol primers in my 9mm reloads. I'll be using Winchester 231 powder. These were all I was able to find in my area right now. I have been reloading 45acp for a while using standard primers with no problems.

Yeah it shouldn't be a problem unless you are loading up some really hot loads. Personally if it was me I wouldn't use them but if it is all you had then by all means use them, just back off the load a bit.

I accidentally loaded some 9mm using magnum primers and didn't have a problem-wasn't running at the top though.

Standard or magnum? 45ACP uses standard ordinarily.

You can use them but I would recommend reworking your load. Or at the very least back it down to at or near the start load.

Many recommend against it. I swap them in 9mm whenever I get mag primers cheap. Has never mattered. I only reload medium 9mm loads.

I use them all the time. I never push the top end of the pressure curve though.

Same here. Purchased 30K during the shortage and use them in 9mm & 40 S&W.

Bottom to mid range powder weight should keep you safe.
