Perhaps my Brushed Chrome .44 with the bag of mags, and I should join the Desert Eagle Club. Do I need an invitation?

Nice 1911 and very nice hand cannon. I bet the 50cal is a blast to shoot.

It is an absolute blast. I took it out on Sunday and one-handed it for the first time. Not bad as long as you have a good firm grip. Of course, having Popeye-like forearms helps too.

I had a .44MAG and traded it away. I will replace it one of these days.

I always felt the DE should be 50 caliber, though the 44 and 357 versions are nice shooters.

I own a 44mag. I have shot the 50 Des. Eagle.
I don't care for the 50. And if I were smart I would have bought a 357 conversion.
While I am thinking about it, if someone sees a 357 conversion with a 6in barrel for a VII, please PM me. This way I could setup the 44 for hunting and the 357mag for fun range work.

The 50AE Desert Eagle does cause me some shoulder pain if I shoot too many rounds. Unlike a big bore revolver, I can't just let it roll back in my hands. With the DE, the recoil goes straight back.
