affordable self defense ammo

Hi

Thanks for your help with this question.

I'm on a limited budget with two kids in college. Could you give me your opinion of the self defense ammo choices my wife and I have in our house and carry guns? Are these loads acceptable(I know these are not what you have recommended as best)

For 9mm---Wife's house gun, FNP 124GR Hornady TAP HP ammo in our weapons. Standard velocity about 1150fps.

For 40---My carry, Glock 23--180 gr Federal HST( 1000fps) and 155 Remington(standard HP ammo, 1200fps)

For 45---house gun #2, Glock 21--Winchester White Box hollow points, 230 gr, 880fps

Thanks again for your help!

Adequate? Certainly!

When time and budget permit upgrading, the 9mm is the caliber that will most benefit from something warmer, IMO.

best,
Mas
