Gen4 Grip Texture
For those of you who have carried any Gen4 Glock, and have carried the grip agenst your skin, how does the new grip texture feel on your skin?
Thanks for your input.

The Gen 4 is the only weapon I have ever carried so I have nothing to compare it to but it does take a little getting used to. At first I did not notice any discomfort but after a few hours I could tell my skin was a little sensitive. It has taken a week or so for me to adjust but adjust I have. Now to get my baby soft hands to get used to shooting the .40's out of it. 9 mm's are sweet but the .40 does leave the hand warm after awhile. Hope that helps,
Mike

I like it and don't have any problem with it. I was shooting with a guy today and loaned him my g22 and he had problems with the grip... not a carry issue but I assume if it wears on the hand it can wear on your side
Oh, look up Theis holsters... should keep you from having trouble.

I don't like ANY grip against bare skin so I've never had enough time to tell. But the Gen 4 texture is perfect for gripping.

i started carrying my gen 4 Friday and it did take a little time to get used to it. i usually wear an undershirt behind it, but it isn't anything that would keep me from carrying it.

I loved, and miss, my Gen 3 G19. The grip texture tore me to shreds.
Now, I have a new Gen 4 G19 .. and it is very comfortable. No complaints with the grip texture whatsoever. Perfect when handling and no problem when against your skin.

I second the comment above regarding the Gen 3 G19 grip texture. Can't speak for the Gen 4 texture though.
If you don't see yourself selling the gun, you can always get some mid to high grit sand paper to smooth out the grip's texture on the side facing your skin. I did so and I still have excellent grip while shooting, and no complaints when on the hip.

Don't own a Gen 4 tho I've played with them at my local gun store. I don't like the texture nor do I need the interchangable grips. That said I will never own one so I don't need to worry about how they feel. However, I don't like the feel of any grip rubbing against my side. I wear a tee shirt for that reason.

Carry a Gen3 rtf2 next to your skin for a week. Your Gen4 will feel smooth as a baby's butt.
