Jager Products Gen. 4 Guide Rods in Steel and Polymer

We have Gen. 4 guide rods for G17 and G19 size frames, in both Steel and Polymer.
These are designed specifically for the Gen. 4, and not simply an adapter washer on a Gen. 3 rod. (The Gen. 3 rods are too small for the channel in the frame)

If you'd like to order the Generation 4 G17 Hardened Steel guide rod and spring, they're on our site now. These will fit all Gen. 4 G17, G22, G34, G35 size frames. If you'd like to order the Generation 4 G17 Polymer guide rod and spring, simply order the steel one and send an e-mail to me requesting the substitution for Polymer - this is what we're doing while we are waiting for the webmaster to update us.

The same goes for ordering the Gen. 4 G19 / G23 in either Polymer or Hardened Steel, and these ship with the 15# spring. Simply order the Gen. 4 G17 Steel, and send a follow-up e-mail requesting the substitution. Sorry for the inconvenience until the website is updated.

Thanks all, our guide rods seem to be helping with the few who are suffering malfunctions, and all who simply want to have the ability to change the spring - just like a Gen. 3.

Please feel free to e-mail with any questions, and of course thanks all for your past support!

I'll give away Gen. 4 G17 / G22 guide rods with 15# springs to the first 2 people to respond, time for another gveaway........

Thanks, jager

Received the new guide rod for the Gen 4 G17 and was impressed with quality and fitment of the new part. Some guide rods on the market do not take into account the bushing area of the guide rod. Most manufacturers of aftermarket guide rods simple give you a bushing to drop in to allow for a single spring guide rod. Jager products sent me their steel guide rod and I recently had a chance to use it. I ran about 200 rounds through the gun with no problems. Muzzle flip was also reduced allowing quicker follow up shots. I want to thank Jager products for letting me try out their new guide rod. Great folks to deal with.

Wow, I've been looking for a steel recoil rod and spring set-up for my competition Glock 22 for a few weeks now, how do I know what weight spring to select?

I'll write up a great review after I run it through the Texas Multigun 3 Gun Match at BOTW.

For the G22, the ISMI 15 # is a good choice.

thanks, jager

That's what I figured the weight would be. I have two Gen4 22's, one runs perfectly and the other not so much. Hopefully this will fix that one.

I'm starting to get a number of requests for these, so I'm looking at September to roll these out. Thanks!

Thanks! I think they'd sell well, especially when the Gen4 G20's come out. Be nice to run heavier springs for the hot hunting ammo that's available.

got a jager stainless steel rod with 15lb ISMI spring for my gen4 g19 yesterday, only shot 200 rounds with it so far but i like it. i was looking at options for a lighter recoil spring on my gen4, and the jager guide rods have nothing but positive reviews from a lot of reputable members here. i figured the gen4 would be no different and decided to take a shot on one.

the guide rod itself is excellent quality and a very nice finish. i like the "cap" Bill decided to use to adapt the guide rod for the gen4 slide. in case anyone was wondering, the base that fits against the barrel is also the same larger size as the gen4 dual RSA. i look forward to shooting some more with this today, but so far i have no complaints and am very satisfied with this product.

i wasn't able to find too many pictures online of this rod installed, so thought i'd take a couple this morning.
