Tru-glo TFO and Point of Impact

Am considering Tru-glo TFO sights for my Glocks [22 & 27]. Anyone out there have any knowledge if this will change the point of impact and if so, how much?

No problem at all. Sights are on target. Over 5,000 rounds in 6 years.

My G17's POI dropped 4 inches at 7 yards.

are you using the top of the blade or something? I have never heard of that dramatic of a drop. Mine is still POI/POA after 3k+ rounds and 3 years

I have not had any problems with my POI after putting Tru-Glo TFOs on my G 23.

UPDATE:
Well just to inform you all about my original question. I shot my stock G22 Gen 2 with Truglo Fiber Optics at our local IDPA monthly shoot today. I will say that I am going to install same on all my Glocks as soon as I can. Point of impact and point of aim are the same. I am impressed with the sights.

Really helps 64 yr old eyes acquire sights.

Yep 64 yr old eyes suck. I am down to Leupold scopes on rifles and red dots on the handguns. Going to try the TFOs and see what happens.

I've had Tru Glo TFO's on my Glock 23 for 8 years and they're the best I've tried! POA/POI is perfect.

The TFO's have the Tritium AND fiber optics.

The Tritium still glows very strong in the dark 8 years later (yes, I know they should glow for something like 10 years, but I never expected that claim to hold water - but so far, it has).

TruGlo TRO are great, but simple gun cleaner and oil will damage them. They stop glowing easily. When they work, they are great, nice and clear. They do tend to pick up rust easily and the blueing on the metal is very poor and fade off easily especially when exposed to cleaners. They can improve them by parkerizing them or coating them with black titanium carbon nitride or DLC coating. I went thru two sets of TRO already and that is less than one year or 10,000 rounds.

The above post is correct... except... if you are careful to keep cleaner and lube away from the actual glass tubes, you'll be fine. As mentioned in my above post, I've been using mine for almost 8 years without any problems. They still glow great - day or night.

I typically lube everything, and then take a Q-tip with M-Pro 7 on it and clean off the tubes.

Glockmeister has Truglo tritium for $52.00 on sale mine just came in. So if you don't need the fiber optic they are really nice. Will be trying them this weekend at the range.

I just installed a set on a G23. I have another on a G17 I seldom carry, but I like them well enough to do this gun too.

The rear sight is best installed with a rear sight tool. I had to get mine started with a nylon hammer and wood bench (tapped on the slide, not the sight), but finished with my G21 sight tool, then snugged the screw.

Swanner, if you are in the SLC, Ut area you are more than welcome to use the rear sight tool I have.

I wonder if anyone makes an adapter for the large frame sight tool to work on the smaller frame guns?

Eracer, did you make sure that front sight is all the way down in the hole? The instructions suggest to press it in with a soft jaw vise or rubber mallet.

I have the TFO's on my G19. POA is POI. I can really pick them up allot better than I can the STD Glock sights.
