Tuscaloosa AL officer down

http://blog.al.com/wire/2011/05/tusc...rocession.html

If I read correctly, someone IN the procession caused the crash.

Damn shame. Sounded like the officer was working a nice easy gig. Then, BAM, he's killed.

Man, I'm sick of these retards behind the wheel. I see these mouth breathers every day... oblivious to everything but their self importance. As a biker, and a cop, it makes me INSANE!

RIP, brother.

RIP. The motorcycle cops have been a big asset managing utility repair truck processions.
Imagine a funeral procession but with a 100+ out of state trucks.

I have a huge respect for motors.

I grew up riding motorcyles and dirt bikes, but I refuse to ride them on-duty, I wouldn't even consider it.

These guys not only do our job, but do it with an even BIGGER risk, exposure to the elements, and refuse to admit the conditions are less than ideal for motor use.

RIP

I heard about this on the radio today. That's a shame that a 10 year veteran of the force was killed on a relatively low-stress day. Those guys have been busting their tails since the storm and I hate that this happens.
