I have a Gen 2 G23 which I've owned for several years and fired over 10,000 rounds through. The only issue I've had is breaking the slide lock spring a couple of times (easy fix--I keep spares). I'm looking at the Gen 4, though, and thinking about "upgrading". I don't mind the recoil with the Gen 2 but I am wondering if there really is that much difference in felt recoil, or is it just a perception issue?

100% perception in my book. I wish we had some way to measure "real" recoil?
