EOW: Riverside, MO Officer Jeff Taylor

Riverside, Missouri Patrolman Jeff Taylor has passed away from injuries he sustained from being struck by lightning while assisting in Joplin during the aftermath of the May 22 tornado. This hits pretty close to home for many at my agency, as several of us were in Joplin when it happened.

Godspeed, Ptlm. Taylor.

Prayers and condolences to his family.

Another LEO dies under circumstances that would keep the sane and the timid huddled in safety.

quite a coincidence, at a racetrack that I frequent in Humboldt, Ks last week they announced the flagman at the track was there helping his sister and was relatively close to this accident, saw it & did CPR on the guy that was struck. WOW

Guess if one wants to live a safe life, one should become a computer software developer.

A bunch of folks you never met were pulling for you, Officer Taylor. I'm very sorry to hear this.

God be with you and God bless your family.
