sa pro vs. the world
seems there are frequent posts asking about how the sa pro compares to brand x. I don't have one, can't afford one, would not wait for one, would like to have one though (with rail or without). let's have this one thread be the repository of how the sa pro compares to the field. aaand they're off!

SA Pro gives you automatic 'Second Chance Pro'
even if youre already using 'Marathon Pro', 'Hacker Pro', 'Ninja Pro', or 'Tactical Mask Pro'

Here is how the gun fared when the FBI compared it to others:

Having listened to all the gushing, and all of the "quick, there is a Pro on GB" threads, and so forth....I finally shot Quack's a few weeks ago. It was a sweeeeeeet shooter for sure. Can't say I'd want to go through the wait for one. Other choices that would scratch that itch for me personally.

I hope to shoot someone's 1911 soon - the guy has a flat trigger. If I like it, I may get one installed on my SACS Operator

"If you failed on anything, they just quit testing and sent the gun back for you to fix it. You had a chance to fix anything. If you failed again, that was it. They were pretty fair on that," said Williams, director of the Springfield Custom Shop.
and I guess my Pro wasn't included on that one.
I wonder if the Pro doesn't meet all the hype if fanboys will cry...oops, I can't help but troll for some reason
Back under the bridge I go....until the next time

There is a guy on the forum that I admin on that wants to try my custom operator. And, he installed a flat trigger on his 9mm Loaded Springfield. I want to try that with the trigger.
No flat triggers on any of my Beretta, though

a few years ago a local dealer had one for 1950.00 new in the box. i could have gotten it with their 90 day layaway but i got a hk for half the price. i figured it would not be long before they got in a pro with a rail then i would get it...
still waiting.

The SA Pro is a nice 1911 but it isn't touched by the hand of god as some would have you believe. For me, there are much better choices. Wilson will make you an all all billet gun for nearly the same price and 1/4 of the wait and a Baer TRS is everything a PRO is, if not better, for much less and again.... a fraction of the wait.

i dont have any experience with the pro so i cant compare it to the TRS but when i read your post i cant help but think that a TRS is just a 1911 that every 1911 lover (that likes to shoot them) should have.

I never owned a Pro, but I do prefer my TGO1 over most of my other semi custom 1911s.
