HK45 Compact

Mas,

I was wondering if the 3.90 inch length of the barrel. Would be better to use the Gold Dot short or standard ammo.

Thanks,

Brian

The Short Barrel load was, of course, expressly designed for use in the shorter barrels and does very well in testing. However, I haven't run across any actual shootings with it. Several departments are using standard Gold Dot .45 ACP for both service pistols and shorter-barrel autos issued to detectives and administrators, and I've heard of no problems. Might just be a coin toss. I personally wouldn't worry about carrying either in one of my Glock 30s.

best,
Mas
