What to do ?
Thanks to some hail damage I now have $2,000 to put toward something, but what?
I'm close to Ed Brown territory, but I dont know if I want to sink that much into one pistol.
Now I'm really going to drive myself nuts.

Depends on what you want it for. LB TRS is a hell of a nice gun and can be had for $1,800ish or less. Not sure what CJ has them for right now.

Good call Hokie!
Give CJ a shout and see what he can do for you. You can pick up a nice Baer and have ammo money left...
BTW - I'm pretty sure CJ can get you into a Brown for under $2K, should you decide to go that route.

It's best to call him, as the website is pretty basic. You will NOT find a lower price on a Brown, and he is a great guy to deal with!

I take it you are going to live with the hail damage?
For $2000 I would go with a Brown 5", either the Kobra or the SF whichever one you like better as they are the same gun underneath. You can get either for $2000 online
George can set you up with a Brown for a great price as well, I think there is somebody who hangs out around here that might be able to set you up as well
Or George can set you up with his 1 year layaway and you can put the $2000 towards anything you can think of from Wilson, Nighthawk and Brown. Nothing like building your dream gun from all the choices that they offer.

Valor
How about a Valor and some ammo? If it was me that's what I would do. Regards.

Hokie will sell ya his KC for $1,899.00 plus S&H.
BTW, can I have about $2,800 worth of hail for my new Les Baer Monolith?

If I spend that much for a 1911 it's going to be Brand New.

Ed Brown was my choice, and I have no complaints.
hokie's has had some back-seat 'smithing, so that would lower the price, I think. Offer him $1500 cash and a bar of soap!

I've always wanted an HK45, so about half of the money might go there.

You could do a retro carry build, or if you already have a base gun, you could step it up to the custom carry. Or just add whatever you want and go that route!

Dang that sucks! I heard that on TOS about 2 months ago, so I guess you know it's true! Did you ask if he's accepting work at all? I feel extremely lucky!
