My name is David, and I'm an addict.

I went a little crazy with ammo purchases today. Not sure why, I guess the price was right.

In any event, I should be ready for a SHTF situation.

Today's online purchase included:

100 rds. of 7.62x54r 203gr. Brown Bear Soft Point $42.95
440 rds. of 7.62x54r 149gr. $79

... and a local store had a special on some of their ammo, so I picked up 175 rds. Federal Premium, 12guage #00 Buck with included ammo can for $89.95.

That's not an addict, that's hardly enough for a day at the range.

Last weekend we went through 7,000 rounds of .22LR and 1,200 rounds each of 12ga and 20ga shotgun shells.

You've got a LONG WAY TO GO before you're an addict.

The best thing about a Glock is it looks just like the next Glock. My wife assumes I just have "a couple" of Glocks, yet I'm addicted to them like crack!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't even equal one thousand rounds?....

If you're an addict, I'm scared to ask what I am since I've ordered .40 SW ammo in one big box of 3,000.

I'm sure many more on here trump that number though. 3k rounds don't last long, as many can attest to I'm sure.

It gets hard to justify the shipping costs for purchases too much lower than 500 rounds.

Buying 715 rounds of ammo is not even close to an addiction.

I have shots more than that at live varmints in a day.

I can reload 715 rounds in less than two hours.

I don't own anything now that is full auto but I have family than do. 715 rounds is almost 3/4 of a case or almost one minute of full auto fire.

I order my rimfire ammo in 5000 round case for convenience.

I'm sure Sara Brady thinks you have a problem.

I'm sure you and I think she is a bigger problem.

Now David do you feel better about yourself?

You are among friends here at Glock Talk now have a better day by shooting some af that ammo.

The only problem I see here is you didn't get enough.

David, nice try, but somebody's gonna 'one-up' ya just on general principles. That's a lot more ammo than i'd buy unless my 'ship came in'.

Are you missing some zeros in there OP?

That's not a lot. You only have to start worrying when the UPS guy brings along some extra guys to help unload the truck!
