So does the bill basically makes it legal for your shirt to fly up and expose your sidearm instead of it being a crime?

Basically...
It's stupid to criminalize incidental flashing anyway..

So who decided if you accidently showed your gun? Left open to interpetation by an LEO as some citizen calls the cops cause they saw your gun when you reached to the stop shelf to get something at the grocery store.

It is not open to interpretation because the law does not say that it must be accidental. It can even be intentional display so long as it's not done in a threatening or angry manner.

That doesn't happen anyway. At least no legal person has been prosecuted. It's just a BS book law.
If you followed the process, It was basically undermined by a few gov reps in closed doors & said fu to the people. They will get theirs at reelection.
I'm more pissed at scott for caving in & signing it. He is showing that he wants to be liked in gov instead of working for the people like he should be.

It is the result of the campaign by OC activist to get OC passed in Fl.
Criminal prosecution was the BS bug a boo the activist pushed to try and get support for thier goal, OC in Fl.

Oh for crying out loud come one.. Scott has the lowest approval rating of any Gov in the USA right now. I happen to like him and I voted for him but to say that he " wants to be liked" more than working for the people is just absurd

Personally I am happy we got something out of it. I never cared about OC for myself, but I think it isnt a bad thing that this got done.

It was strange to me before all of this. If your carrying concealed WITHOUT a permit and they see your gun. Than they charge you with carring a concealed weapon. Put if you HAVE. A permit, then they could charge you with open carry if they saw your weapon. There was a guy arrested at a casino because even though he had a permit, an employee saw his hangun inside his shirt in it's holster. Guess he didn't know the casino was a no no. LOL

It may be a mistake to confuse Florida state law with indian reservation laws.

It's not. As blackdobe said that's a indian reservation law & is the same as a sign that says no guns. I doubt he was arrested. He may have been asked to leave. or refused to leave & then arrested for armed trespass.

That sounds very likely. From what I hear, the LEOs at the Hard Rock have little tolerance for any kind of debate like that.

Ok, Found a link. Guess he wasn't trying to conceal it enough.
http://beta2.tbo.com/news/news/2009/...es--ar-122198/
On another site they said we have receprocity with the tribes, so concealed carry is fine. But I guess if its seen then your going to be asked to leave reguardless of a permit or not.
