Blackhawk 1700 concealment shirt review....

Just got a couple of these Blackhawk 1700 shirts in the mail today. Ordered from opticsplanet.com and got really fast shipping. Best price I could find for them as well.

I am REALLY impressed with these shirts. They are lightweight, comfortable, great fit, and do their job of concealing a holstered pistol very well. They have UV protection and wicking technology to help with breathability which is important for me in the humid, hot Texas heat. To top it all off, they look nice and could easily be worn to a nice restaurant with your SO. I will be ordering more soon!

My only negative is that I wish they had not put the sewn-in emblem on the back of the shoulder. Not really sure why they did that.

So what makes it better for CCW than a regular shirt?

It is the choice of most 'operators' and other tactical fellers.

On the back?! That's kind of odd.

Can you tell us what size you ordered and what you normally wear in dress shirts (like 16 1/2 x 34/35, etc)?

You got it, it was a joke. I get most of my clothes from Goodwill.

Hey, to each his own, right? I personally like the shirts. I normally wear an XL in polos and T-shirts. These run just a tad big, so I ordered large and they fit great. These are not all that different from other button up short sleeve shirts other than the type of material (to keep you cool), they have something like a 30 spf built in, and have a zippered front "concealment" pocket which I have not found a use for yet. I just wanted to give them a try and I like them. I also like the fact that the bottom of the shirt is straight across rather than curved like a lot of shirts of this style.

If this is not your thing or think that buying clothing specifically for concealment purposes is stupid, well, more power to you. No need to piss on somebody else who differs from your opinion.....

I plan on ordering some of these as well, I have several of the Woolrich Elite summer ccw shirts and they work great and look good to boot.
