Second Amendment - recognizes a civil right?

If civil rights laws make it illegal to discriminate based on religion, etc. do they also make it illegal to discriminate against those who exercise their right to keep and bear (not bare) arms? If so could PayPal be forced to process payments involving guns?

Probably not. While most "rights" named in the Constitution are technically "civil rights" as you use that term, discrimination against gun owners probably won't be unlawful here because its not government action.

For example, if your landlord goes into your apartment while you're away to look through your things to find the overdue rent, that's not a violation of any Fourth Amendment search and seizure rights because he's a private person (although he is trespassing).

If Paypal were a government run company, yes.
If enough people complained.

Since they're a private company, no.
They can "reserve the right to refuse service to anyone they choose".

Gun owners are not a protected class.

If a restaurant has a policy of "no shoes, no shirt, no service" they are perfectly within their right to refuse service. The Constitution and Bill of Rights tells the GOVT what it can't do. Nor private citizens. This does not apply to "protected classes"

You can't buy guns on ebay either. It's their choice as a business.
