Which XD is the same size as the G19?

Okay...I never wanted one until recently...

Hickok's XDM 5.25 vid got me drooling...prolly will buy the XD next instead of another Glock...but I want the one that is the same size as the G19.

So is the Service 4" or the Compact? I know I don't want the sub compact.

Anybody have any comparo pics?

Thanks For Your TIme

If you stack a Glock 19 and an XD45c on top of one another, you would not be able to tell which is which without looking closely -- they are almost the exact same size.

Well there is a Compact XD on the Springfield website. Dimensions show it being a half inch taller than the sub-compact and a half inch shorter than the Service model. So it does exist. Not that it matters and I'm not trying to argue. I don't know how to link it because it of the way the site works...

Go look if you don't believe me...

EDIT: It appears to be only in the .45 ACP XD models. Lo Siento Mi Amigos!

I've decided to get the new 5.25 when I have the funds. It will be a range gun.

The XD Tactical in .45ACP is a wonderful pistol; you can't go wrong there!

I own the XD .45c and the G23. The G23 is the exact same size as the G19. The XD .45c is the only compact version...weird eh? The sub-compacts are totally different XDd. Will take and post a pic soon.

The XD45 Compact is very close to the size of the G19/23

The "Compact" XD is a XD-45 with the grip shortened. As such, it is identical in length and only shorter (by 3/4") in height (comparing it to the other XD-45, of course...comparing it to the 9/40 XD's would be silly). The XD Compact comes in either "Service" or "Tactical" (4" barrel or 5" barrel).

Take a look at the XDm Compact 9mm.
6.750" Overal Length
4.750" Overall Height
That makes it just a bit smaller than the G19, but it's as close as any of the XD/XDm models get...the XD-45 Compact Service being the only other contender in size but it's a different caliber.

But since it was the XDm 5.25 that impressed you, it would be real silly to get something smaller and expect it to be as sweet a shooter as the 5.25.
