Where to buy a Blackhawk holster and light together?

Hi boys.

I want to get the wife a new holster.

Basically, one of these:

http://www.blackhawk.com/product/Lev...,1180,1410.htm

Gun is a G23, right hand.. must have the paddle attachement.

I know she needs to run a Xiphos light with it, so I need one of those too.

My question:

Will this holster work with a G23? I don't see it in the drop down list. Will the G17 holster work for a G23?

Where is the best place to buy the light and holster together, if so?

She wants a light on her gun again, and is married to a paddle AND the Serpa button, so I'm stuck.

Thanks guys.

I usually go lapolicegear, but looks like they only offer Glock 17/22/31 on that site. Sorry

My guy says that the 17/22/31 version would work fine with the compact frame. The picture on the Blackhawk site implies that the light sticks out past the muzzle on the 17/22/31, so I would assume that the end of the light is at least one of the "index points" on the holster. I also don't think that it would be any loss of concealment, using a holster for a larger pistol, since the light is the longest part of the apparatus.

Beyond that, no idea where to get them together.

call Blackhawk and ask them, that'd be the most definitive answer... here's a good price on holster and light

I've always had good luck with Optics Planet, FWIW.

I know the 23 fits the non-light 22 version. I bet it fits the light version also.

I have one of those with the "hood" (for lack of a better name). One for a G22/17 should work with a G23/19 w/a light.

NOTE: I super glued a little button to the release lever to help find and opperate the lever easier. It works out really well.

Check this link and ask for a guy named Mark (last name is Hotalig or something). Tell him you are LE and referred from our agency. They give at least a 10% discount to cops and can help you find what you need. They are based out of FC or Nunn. Guy is a former SEAL and very cop friendly.

I'm currently running a Safariland 6378 with a paddle at work. Cost was much less than Blackhawk and very comfortable.

Subject: Holster availability

Hello,

I'm looking for your Level 2 SERPA Light Bearing holster for Xiphos NT to fit a Glock 23. I didn't see it in the drop down menu when I was about to order.

I assume the G17 holster will not work for a G23?

Are you planning a G23 holster, or do you already have one available?

I was planning on buying the holster and Xiphos light together.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

[REPLY]

Good Morning,

I am sorry to say that we do not currently manufacture a CQC light bearing holster for the Glock 23. The Glock 17 holster will not accommodate the 23. I am not aware of the future production at this time of a holster for this weapon. Please feel free to contact customer service at 1-800-694-5263 ext. 3450 around November to see if there is any further information concerning an increase in the level 2 light bearing line. Have a great day.

Safariland is so much more versatile. I have a 6285 for a glock 35 with an M3 light. It will fit a 23 or 22 with no problem. Blackhawk needs to expand their catalog a bit.

What about getting her a G22 and having the grip cut down to G23 size? I have seen a few of those and they look pretty good plus wife is happy with holster and light.

She has to carry the states gun. Good idea though. And something I'd consider if necessary, but she would prefer to carry her Storm Lake G35.

FYI. I have this for my glock 19 and wish that I never would have gotten rid of my safariland. I will soon be going back to safariland and a gen 4 17 if you have not yet found a good used holster with the xyphos light. I have the xyphos and it is not as bright as the streamlight tlr-1. Message me if your interested in the holster/light combo. I still have the original box for the light, but no packaging for the holster.

www.baumshoe.com has good prices for the blackhawk + light combo. Plus they are owned by cops

I placed an order through another company for some Blackhawk equipment for the police academy. I got an email about 3 days later stating all of it is on back order. I got 3 of the items last week finally and later an email stating my duty belt will be in sometime in the middle of October. So apparently Blackhawk is low on supplies.

I have that light/holster combo. I love the holster even though it sits a little low but the light is very unreliable. Sometimes you hit the button and it goes directly into strobe. Sometimes you hit the button and it does nothing. A lot of the guys in my unit have switched to a TLR/Safariland combo.

Cocheese I think Tammy doesn’t know what she is talking about. My holster is for a 22 but I just test fitted my 23 in it and had no issues at all. Obviously there will be a tiny bit more wiggle between the end of the gun and the hood but there was no issues with the draw

Forgot to mention that stuff in my last post. I have two Blackhawk holsters, one is the conceal carry Serpa and the other is a level three holster. With the conceal carry one I have carried a G22, a G19 (same size as the G23) and more recently a G27. With the level three it thus far has fit my G22 and the G27 in it. There was a little wiggle room with the G27 but that was expected. I don't have the G19 to see if it fits but since it fit the other ones then it should fit the G19.
