My first 1911 (Norinco Factory Enhanced)

Just got my first ever 1911 today. Bought it during the last gun show for only 15T. A Norinco factory enhanced 1911. Took it to the range and it took some getting used to. At first I was shooting way low and left and I was quick to blame the pistol. But then, somebody at the range tried it and he was putting it in the ring at 4m. After about 50 rounds, I was also beginning to hit it the center ring. Sights were dead on out of the box. Might need a trigger job eventually pero saka na lang.

Then I tried double taps. I was able to do double taps with 2" groupings in the end. I'm real happy with the gun. Shot a hundred rounds today. Maybe with practice I'll get better with the pistol. Pipinturahan ko lang ng snowpake and dots niya dahil malabo. Me nabibili pa bang snowpake?

I dont like dots on my sights lalo sa rear sight
Muscle memory is so much faster in aligning the sights
Pero if you cant live w/out them dots, use nail polish

and contrary to popular opinion , DO NOT lower the trigger pull until...well magaling ka na pumutok
or you'll end up like newbies na puro bilis kalabit , puro sala kasi walang followthru at di marunong mag call ng putok

Thanks. Not yet considering lowering trigger pull.

Welcome to the wonderful world of 1911s, Father P. Enjoy your gun and keep the urge to modify at bay for as long as you can.

Oo nga, 100 years na 1911 kaya for the benefit of the centennial bili na ako. Di ko muna modify. Praktis muna sa stock.

Good for you, your front sight is actually a sight, my earlier Norc seems to have sights as an afterthought...

White paint marker works too.

The sights are better now compared to the older enhanced that looked so way out of place.

That's a nice buy, considering you get a forged slide and receiver; plus a chromelined barrel. There have been problems with barrel peening on older Norinco 1911s. It would be safe to say that they've corrected the problem already.

BTW, if you don't mind me asking, who sells Norinco pistols back home?
