$2800 isn't that a little high for a used gun. I think someone here (lawdog) got quoted something a little cheaper for a new build. (Pro Compact). It is very nice no doubt about that though.

That must be why he states it had an issue with the slide stop.

This exact build would cost more than $2800 to duplicate now, trust me. Unless he was after the same exact build, one quote doesn't equal the next.

I understand, I was just saying is all. The price jumps on just the "Radical Carry Bevel" now is crazy, I think it went up $150.

When I priced out a Custom Carry with SACS earlier this year....it was just north of $2,800.
5" Custom Carry Operator .45acp
flush crowned
ball cuts
Harrison trigger
10-8 rear/tritium front
flush slide stop
30lpi FS and MSH
Armory Kote

Wow, that's a pretty plain build for the price. I know they raised their prices back in 2010, must have been more than I thought.

Yeah, honestly I was shocked. George was a few hundy cheaper for it, but I was like $2,600.....yeah, no thanks. Would be just as happy with another Brown or Baer for $400 less.

Crazy, I know my FFL's price for a base CC was $1400 at the time. I would think your specs should have been around $2200.
I wish I would have kept to the simple, entry level 1911's now, but, live and learn.

Base CC was $1,800 I think. I was hoping to keep it close to your as mentioned $2,200. That's where I could get a railed Kobra with my KC build specs or a Baer Ultimate Recon for. Above that, I would consider a Guncrafter American or a Pro, but that CC price was absurd.

The sad thing about the CC is you don't even get checkering/front strap treatment standard. I never understood that. It is definitely crazy on the price you got for the options.
I went stupid when I ordered mine, and I have a feeling I'll either be stuck with them or take a bigger loss than I want.

Yeah no kidding. No FS done at $1,800 is just silly. With the selection of Browns/Baers available for less, that doesn't make any sense at all, and once you get the FS done you are at $2k, and that whole "diminshing returns" thing sort of slaps you in the face....and that doesn't include any other adds.

Yep, I have a feeling I learn this. I knew it when I ordered if I ever thought about selling one it would be difficult. I'm just testing the waters with mine for now.
