MREs

Where is a good place to get the Military MREs? I am looking for a case or so for hurricane season.

If the Military ones aren't available, what is the best substitute?

You can often find them at gun shows - which allows you to check the expiration dates before you buy. Or you can get them from cheapertthandirt.com
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ItemL...spx?catid=5339

CTD also sells the side dishes and heaters as separate items which can be handy to provide some variety. We're goin to buy some when we get back to Florida - just in case...

+1 for ReadyMeal. Fast and you won't find a better price for fresh stuff.

Military Ones

For military ones I'd recommend MRE Depot http://www.mredepot.com/servlet/the-...GI-Meal/Detail

Then again, I'm not sure what I'm going to do now with dozens of books of matches (they also seem to be quite a bit more expensive than when I picked up some - guess that's pretty much a given though now-a-days!)

I have been out way too long, are you allowed to re-sell them to civilians?

Gun shows, mil surp shops(they tend to have the clear packaged civvy ones), or flea markets(could be stolen...)
