From what I saw on the news, he went to pass the procession on the shoulder to go ahead of them and didn't see the hears turning into the funeral home then broad sided it. Sad story for sure.

Fact. Happened just down the road from my place. Hearse was turning into the Gate of Heaven, escort passed on the right. Sad, hearse driver did not see him coming up.
