This is my first post. I read an old article(I think it was an old article that was by Massad Oyoob). One of the few writers that I trust what he says and he says that he has seen several of the "S" shaped triggers springs break and he recomended the NY-1 trigger spring (for other benefits besides never seeing one of them break) Anyway I purchased an NY-1 trigger spring and when I went to install it the spring that I took out was a coil spring. I have a G33 gen3. So my question is about this "S" shaped trigger spring he is taking about. Was this something on ealier generation glocks?

Yes that was an old article. The point he brought out regarding coil spring breakage is no longer valid. the breakage was attributed to a small hole in the leg of the trigger bar. The hole was enlarged and the issue went away.
You can run a NY (2 types) or coil spring (S type) in any Glock pistol. Play with all 3 and keep the one that performs to your liking!
