We are getting squall lines off and on...very minimal. The trees are blowing in the wind, and we've had rain off and on this afternoon. Right now, the sun is shining there is a good breeze. We are very thankful.
My thoughts and prayers are with Dep Chief, his sweet family, and everyone else who will be impacted by Irene! I pray that the storm begins to weaken before it gets to hits any land in the USA.
Dinky? Are they telling you to expect anything in your area? Squalls?
I am pretty sure my mom will be okay in The Asheville Area. She's a little east
of Asheville....so I think she is out of harms way.

I am afraid of that....but he has a wife and a baby! He needs to get them out and be with THEM!!!
Sitting on the beach because some people want to have hurricane parties...
I know when I was in upper management in the hospital, if we had a bad hurricane, I HAD to stay and GO to the hospital. I could bring my family there. I had babies at the time. My husband could go there, too. But I had job functions and responsibilities to perform. We were all probably safe there, but thankfully, we never had a storm bad enough during my 13 years there where they implemented the "Disaster Storm Plan".

Even though the first concern would be to protect the baby, I'd have a hard time leaving my husband behind. I hope they have a very safe place to hunker down!
This can't be easy for them!
Prayers for the DepChief family!
