Put in a smooth face trigger, removed the talon grips, and shot a 100 rounds. I like the difference in feel.

Not today, but this past Saturday I shot in my fifth IDPA match and had a blast.... with my G19. Will be doing it again this coming Saturday before the Auburn/Florida game.

I cleaned and lubed it, and did some dry fire practice before reloading my carry ammo into it. I killed lots of evil door knobs.

I drove past the gun shop it's being held at for the "mandatory 10 day holding period," and shook my head. I swear, I saw it in the window staring at me with big puppy dog eyes as I passed by. It's like sending your kid to daycare for the first time... I don't have any kids, and have never sent one to daycare, so I can only imagine haha.

Discovered that my newly installed extended slide stop was bad on my G-27. A replacement installed today. All is good again.

Well
It's a rainy day here in Hartford, VT, so I put my G17 on its OWB holster and got the newsapaper to read. Now I am going to email my ladyfriend 45 miles to the west to see if she would like some company.

Is that not normal everywhere else? In California, to purchase or transfer a pistol, you have to have your Handgun Safety Course (HSC) card, and they hold the pistol for 10 days while they run a felony background check... I thought it was the same everywhere?

Since the day I turned 18 and was able to vote, I have . The part of California I live in is predominately red (central CA, all farmers out here), but, for the most part, CA is blue. This first wait will be the hardest, it's my first pistol that I bought on my own. After this one, the rest won't be bad because I'll have a pistol to shoot while I wait for the next one. It's just silly because EVERY pistol purchase is held for 10 days. Sucks so bad, I had 3 days off this week and would have loved to punch some holes in some targets during at least one, if not all three, of those days.

I put 100 rounds of Blazer 180gr aluminum through my G23 today. (flawless as usual)
Field stripped it, cleaned it and it looks like the day I bought it.

Today I installed some components from the upgrade kit I bought from Cabela's on sale for $20 (that's another thread). I installed the OEM (-) connector, an extended slide stop/release and an extended mag release. Can't wait to shoot it.
BTW, this was the first time I did any real "gunsmithing" on my Glock and I cannot believe how easy it was. Glocks may not be perfect, but they sure are simply and beautifully designed IMO.

Got my new G23 G4 yesterday and did the .25 trigger job. Also put in a 3.5 pound connector and put 2 - +2 round mag extensions on the magazines. Also cleaned it real well as I had it apart.
