I think it should be a program for visiting officers from out of the country.

Nah... I am kidding... for my 18th bday, I got a brand new convertible and a new sportbike, both of which were pretty hot items back in their day.

My 18th birthday I was preparing to go to US Army Basic Training. I had already enlisted in the MOARNG one month prior. October at about two months later I was air transported most of the way to Fort Jackson, SC to begin Army Basic. It was time to grow up the rest of the way into a soldier. HOOAH!

I wanted to join the military but the recruiter wouldn't give me what I wanted for MOS and tried to jack me into doing something totally boring... I went to college instead.

I did not always make the best choices in life. If I had it to do over again I would have gone to university, or college and gotten a degree that I could have used in multiple fields. But, I was not thinking well at the time. I could have done it with the help of the Missouri Army National Guard, and have had some scholarship money to help out with, but instead went to a non accredited school belonging to a fairly young religious organization. Now, I warn people away from it. It's not too late to go altogether but it is for my current agency as they would throw me out due to being over aged by the time I was done. So, now I am thinking about future endeavours for after retirement to go into my last career before ultimate retirement.

My 18th birthday was boring; the big thing I did was buy a WASR-10 AK. I turned 21 while in AIT with the Army, though.

I can't remember my 18th birthday, but I guess it wasn't really special. Never got a car or a gun. Didn't want to celebrate my birthday for years back then. Now I do it again.

Nope, my dad was rich. He was a millionaire more than once in his life and he probably is again... I haven't asked him and don't really need to know much about his finances as long as he is happy.
