I am doing white collar crime and our whole police system sucks big time... guess how much I care..
Things change when you arent on the streets but doing mostly paperwork. Its part of my job, but you get a different point of view sadly.

I see a lot of those things where I work now, I understand what you are talking about. We are working quite close with all the state attorneys, lots of them are friends with my colleagues. We also have a couple of quite well known "criminals".. sometimes the politics interfere with our work..

I think various western countries have their good points and bad. OC has seen the bad side of his. He may have heard of some of the bad side of ours, but I am thinking may have been more exposed to the good stuff. Personally, I would like to visit his side of the globe some day, both Austria and Germany, and some other parts of Europe.

Well it really wasnt that bad or special in a bad way compared to here. Its just different, its american. Big, extreme.
In general, life is quite the same, people are quite the same.
All the dirtbags over there in the USA are exactly the same over here and vice versa.

That its our view because we work it. Imagine the typical suburban or country folk. They will never see nor understand any of it. Most would be oblivious or get scared.

i agree except for the kid on the way part. The closing of another prison last week pretty much guarantees I will get laid off.
